• Etxea. This large stone house can accommodate up to 10 people in 5 double bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, with the possibility of adding 2 extra beds. • Studios ruraux Sasibil I et II. Rent one of these 2 cottages with kitchen, wood stove, terrace and garden, for 2 to 3 persons.

A hilly setting ideal for hiking

The region offers hilly landscapes and many paths suitable for walking. Cross meadows, admire the ancient dry stone walls listed as a World Heritage Site before greeting the Pottoka horses and Latxas sheep, which make the region’s excellent Idiazabal cheese. Enjoy the local culture and spectacular views of the surrounding hills and mountains simply by putting on a pair of walking shoes.

An exceptional biodiversity

The farm is surrounded by 3 Natura 2000 areas: the Gorbea Natural Park, the Arkam-Gibijo-Arrastaria mountain ranges and the Urkabustaiz oak forests. Don’t miss the opportunity to observe the birds, especially the birds of prey, that inhabit the area. Some 160 pairs of vultures nest on the walls of Arrastaria. It is also one of the few places where you can see red kites in large numbers during the winter season.

The area around Ulle Gorri is a wolf area, a protected species in the whole peninsula. Discover the ancient wolf traps, true witnesses of the complex relationship between man and animal.

A nature full of surprises

Marvel at the breathtaking scenery of Salto del Nervión, the highest waterfall on the Iberian Peninsula, accessible on foot from Ulle Gorri. After heavy rains or during the thaw, the waterfall is particularly impressive. And although it is deprived of water for several months, the setting is no less spectacular.
