Explore the regional natural park of Causses du Quercy to the north of the ecolodge, including the medieval village of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, ranked among the most beautiful in France. Numerous sporting activities also await you in the region: golf, climbing, mountain biking, kayaking, via ferrata or horseback riding.

An eco-responsible hotel...

The Ostalas is the founders' part of the hummingbird. The place has been renovated and redesigned with respect to the local architecture. At all stages of the project, Brigitte and François have endeavored to favor environmentally friendly and socially responsible solutions:

• Organic waxed concrete;

• Healthy and sustainable insulation;

• Natural, organic and 100% vegetable bedding;

• Reintroduction of bees;

• Organic French linen bedding;

• Fan instead of air conditioning;

• Ecological furniture.

The natural heritage of the 6 hectares of the domain, notably the orchard, has also been maintained to preserve the original soul of the place. Finally, the organic and vegetarian table d'hôtes is provided locally: local producers or fruits from the orchard constitute the majority of the plates.

For the guests, their ecolodge in Occitania is also a place that involves actors engaged in a similar approach to their own: the preservation of the environment and health. Thus, the linen sheets are bought in Normandy, from a young company very committed to their local producers. The laundry is entrusted to an ESAT. The estate has been largely restored with the help of WWOOFers: volunteers of all nationalities who want to participate in a meaningful project and discover the local culture.

The limited number of rooms and the quality of the speakers who lead the workshops offered throughout the day make this eco-responsible accommodation a privileged place of exchange.
