Montcuq and Lauzerte, 2 steps from the gite

At the foot of the ecological lodging, 2 villages-stages of the way of Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle welcome you. The first one, Montcuq, will seduce you with its medieval alleys and its lively producers’ market on Sunday mornings. You will be able to taste a Rocamadour produced in a farm less than 5 km from there !

The second, Lauzerte, is one of the most beautiful villages of France and will not fail to make you travel in time, for a return to the medieval period.

Nature and history

• Cahors, classified as a “City of Art and History”. After a stroll on the Valentré Bridge and the square of the Saint-Etienne cathedral, don’t miss an oenological tasting of the AOC Cahors, a powerful wine of the region;
• Rocamadour. A medieval city clinging to the side of a cliff, you will be fascinated by its tiered constructions ;
• Le gouffre de Padirac. Natural cavity of 35 meters in diameter and 75 meters deep, enjoy a long walk out of time through its underground galleries;
