A committed restaurant

The hotel has its own restaurant. Justine, chef de cuisine, and Cédric, producer and fervent defender of island gastronomy, will be delighted to help you discover contemporary Corsican cuisine. With 3 choices of starters, main courses and desserts and a menu that changes daily according to the arrival and the seasons, you only have to treat yourself.

The products are local and for the most part come from the island, even directly from the inn’s farm: pig breeding, vegetable garden and laying hens. Thus, a fisherman from Corsica provides the fish, a local sheepfold takes care of the cheeses and the other meats like veal, lamb and poultry are also raised on the island of Beauty.

For your breakfasts, you will also have the pleasure to discover something else than a buffet of industrial products. Jams, compotes, yoghurts, cakes and many other dishes are home-made. To limit food waste, the Auberge Kallisté does not offer an all-you-can-eat buffet and proposes a breakfast served at the table.

Porto Pollo, sea side

Here you are in Porto Pollo, a seaside resort in Serra-di-Ferro far from the crowds. Located at the end of a road, the village gives a feeling of end of the world which will certainly know how to disorient you. Despite this, there is no lack of activities.

If you like diving, this is the place to be, with its rich marine life that you can easily discover thanks to the active club of the city. If you prefer to keep your head above water, there is also a sailing school where you can learn to sail.

Just a stone's throw from the hotel, you will also find the beach of Porto Pollo with its fine sand and crystal clear water. You can swim there, take a walk along the coastal path or go out in a kayak, paddle, pedal boat or boat.

Porto Pollo, land side

Rent a bike or a mountain bike and explore the surroundings of the village on your own. Horseback riding is also possible in the area. If you are interested in this experience, Diane Saliceti and her cavalry of Corsican horses offer rides in small groups on the beach or in the scrubland. 

But what would Corsica be without hiking? A mythical path of the Beauty Island passes through Porto Pollo: the Mare è Monti sud. On the program: 5 days of roaming between sea and mountain and a distance of 74 km covered. Many other paths also promise beautiful day hikes.

Just behind Porto Pollo, there is the natural area of the Tanchiccia pond. Escape for a few hours in this space that breathes peace and quiet and admire the many species of birds that inhabit the place.

A little further, discover a high place of the Prehistory in the Mediterranean: the site of Filitosa. Known for its well-preserved menhir statues, treat yourself to a visit filled with mystery. Indeed, the meaning of these fragments of granite with anthropomorphic forms remains unknown to this day.
