Accommodation on this tour is 100% home stay, not in hotels. As far as your criteria are concerned, all houses meet at least the 3 criteria below :
- Staff must be part of the local community ;
- Sheets and towels do not have to be washed daily ;
- Cleaning in the rooms should not be daily or with eco-friendly products.
Secondly, even if not all the houses have vegetable gardens or farms, all the products consumed in the meals (including breakfast) are local and in season, especially the fruit and vegetables.As for plastic, the houses often offer bottled water (at an extra cost) but only because this is the only way bottled water can be purchased in Cuba. As for other drinks offered, they are either in cans or in glass but not in plastic.

Arrival in Havana. Welcome at the airport by your local French speaking guide (other languages also available). Private transfer from José Martí International Airport to your accommodation in Havana. Day 2 /Colonial Havana
Day of immersion in colonial Havana, declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1982, to discover so many of its remarkable sites andcorners that are a little more hidden from the eyes of visitors. It is an ideal way to (re) discover many facets of the Cuban capital by visiting :• the Paseo del Prado, one of the most beautiful avenues in Havana;• the Bacardí building, the city’s first Art Deco (exterior);• Plaza del Cristo, ideal for getting away from the tourist masses and seeing how Cuban daily life works ;• the church of Espíritu Santo, the oldest church in the city…To end with a visit to the Havana Club rum museum, to learn about the secrets of its production and end with a tasting. Discovery of Las Terrazas, a small community of reference for sustainable development. Day 5 / Viñales, a breathtaking landscape
Discovery of Viñales, famous for its mogotes, and its breathtaking natural landscapes, by visiting :

Day 6 / Snorkeling Zapata

Departure to Playa Larga. Accommodation for 1 night, breakfast included. Free lunch.Free time to snorkel the entire eastern coast of the Bay of Pigs (Playa Larga, Cueva de los Peces, Playa Girón, etc.), Cuba’s most accessible divesite. Take advantage of formations of coral plates, which almost surface, and which intersect with each other, to give rise to a coral reef 35 km longjust about 50 meters from the beach. Little extra : you can dive in freshwater and saltwater cenotes, some of them communicating with the sea.Touring the Caribbean side, the conditions are usually optimal for snorkeling or even scuba diving. -Marine. Day 7 / Cienfuegos, the pearle of the south

Departure to Cienfuegos, and discovery of the city, known as “the pearl of the south”, by visiting :

• its avenues, founded by the Frenchman Jean-Claude de Clouet in 1819 ;• the Prado, the longest street of its kind in all of Cuba ;• José Martí Park, declared a National Monument ;• the Arc du Triomphe, a unique construction in Cuba, dedicated to the country’s independence ;• the Tomás Terry Theater, one of the city’s most elegant eclectic buildings ;• the former Ferrer Palace, a magnificent neoclassical building from which one can contemplate one of the best panoramic views of the city ; and• the Palacio del Valle, built in the form of a Moroccan kasbah with a terrace offering one of the most beautiful sunsets (small cocktail in hand).

Excursion on horseback and on foot in the Topes de Collantes natural park, a natural paradise in its purest form, located more than 700 meters above sea level.

Walk of about 5 km in one of its parks (Guanayara, Codina, El Cubano, etc.) and its ecotourism trails, among imposing elevations, wide intramontane valleys, endemic flora and fauna, caves, rivers and streams that form waterfalls and swimming pools natural… to finish with a swim in one of the park’s many natural swimming pools. The cancellation of the said trip does not however exempt the customer from respecting his contractual commitment. ASSISTANCE AND INSURANCE
RTC Voyages offers you insurance products (Assistance, Multirisks and Additional CB packs) for your trip, in collaboration with our partnerAxelliance.Insurance covering medical and repatriation costs is compulsory for all travel to Cuba. This is why all of our prices include medical and repatriationcosts (Assistance pack). On the other hand, the Multirisks and Complementary CB insurances, although strongly recommended, are optional, therefore not included in the total price of the trip.
LANGUAGE
During guided tours and excursions, the language spoken with your local guide will be the one specified when booking. If you do not have a Frenchspeaking guide but only an accompanying driver, the spoken language will be Spanish, except in the case where the driver speaks the language specified when booking (not guaranteed). If you are traveling in total autonomy (without a guide and without a driver), the language spokeneverywhere will be Spanish.
ADAPTATION TO PEOPLE WITH REDUCED MOBILITY
These are “all people who have difficulty using public transport, such as, for example, people with sensory and intellectual disabilities, people inwheelchairs, people with limb disabilities, short people, the elderly, pregnant women, people carrying heavy luggage and people with children(including children in strollers) ”. The case of air transport is dealt with specifically by European Regulation 1107/2006, which in particular requiresthe customer to report at least 48 hours before the indicated departure time of the flight.In general, this trip is not suitable for people with reduced mobility (see the press release description). In case of special needs, please specify thembelow.
DEPARTURE CONDITIONED TO A MINIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS
The trip can be canceled by the organizer or the agency if the minimum number of 2 participants is not registered :• 30 days before the date of departure, for trips lasting more than 6 days ;• 10 days before the departure date, for trips lasting 2 to 6 days ;• 48 hours before the departure date, for trips lasting 2 days.The Traveler will then be reimbursed for all sums he may have paid but will not be able to claim compensation.
CANCELLATION / RESOLUTION BY THE CUSTOMER
If the customer is obliged to cancel his trip, he must inform RTC Voyages and its insurer, as soon as the event giving rise to this cancellation occurs, either by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt, or by e-mail.This cancellation is in fact considered as an outright breach of contract. As such, the customer will be forced to compensate in addition the damagesuffered by RTC Voyage, engaged with various subcontractors.When the reservation is final, any cancellation whatever the cause will result in the collection of the following costs :• more than 60 working days before departure : 15% of the total price including VAT of the trip, with a minimum of € 100 per person and, whereapplicable, the cost of issuing the plane ticket ;• between 60 and 46 working days before departure : 30% of the total price including VAT of the trip, with a minimum of € 250 per person and,where applicable, the cost of issuing the plane ticket ;• between 45 and 30 working days before departure: 50% of the total price including tax of the trip and, where applicable, the cost of issuing theplane ticket ;• between 30 and 10 working days: 75% of the total price including tax of the trip and, where applicable, the cost of issuing the plane ticket;• less than 10 working days before departure: 100% of the total price including VAT of the trip.Requests resulting in: a change in the city of departure, destination, accommodation, dates, name or part of the trip are considered as cancellations and result in the collection of the above cancellation fees. spelling of a customer’s name, as well as non-compliance with the payment schedule. Passport : The passport must be valid, valid for the duration of the stay and for 6 months after the return date, for French nationals. If you aretraveling with your children, be aware that, from now on, minors, regardless of their age, must also have an individual passport.Minors : From January 15, 2017, the authorization to leave the country is reinstated for French minors traveling without at least one of their parents.Minors traveling under these conditions must present: passport; the exit authorization form, signed by one of the parents with parental authority (the exit authorization form will be available on the website www.service-public.fr; a photocopy of the title identity of the signatory parent.We strongly recommend that the minor unaccompanied by their legal representatives be provided with a copy of their family record book, their identity document and the authorization form to leave the territory (CERFA no. ° 15646 * 01, to download from :https://www.formulaires.modernisation.gouv.fr/gf/cerfa_15646.do).Tourist card : The tourist card is the equivalent of the entry visa for Cuba. Anyone wishing to travel to Cuba for a tourist stay of up to 30 days mustbe in possession of a tourist card (nominative) for Cuba. It is issued, for a fee, by the Cuban consulate in Paris and French tour operators approvedby the Cuban authorities, including RTC Voyages. In case of personal approach, the tourist card is provided immediately. In the event of a process by mail, the delivery time is generally 7 working days. This card must be kept for the entire stay as it is requested when boarding the return trip. Care should be taken not to exceed the maximum length of stay of 30 days under risk of detention, upon departure, by the immigration services. It is possible to renew the tourist card on site by presenting the valid passport, the tourist card, a certificate of accommodation in a licensed hotel or guesthouse, the insurance certificate, and 25 USD in fiscal stamps (to be purchased from banks).Medical insurance : Medical insurance covering medical treatment and repatriation is required by Cuban authorities for travelers to Cuba. It isstrongly recommended to check that such insurance has been taken out, and that a certificate has been produced. Travelers who will not be able toproduce this certificate must take out this insurance on their arrival in Cuba, with a Cuban agency. An insurance certificate requested by Internetlinked to a Visa or Mastercard credit card is sufficient.Due to the strict health protocol put in place by the Cuban authorities, an insurance certificate covering any medical costs related to Covid-19 will be required from all travelers. If they do not have one, they will be asked to buy one on site (30 USD).Vaccinations : No vaccination is mandatory but some vaccinations are recommended : diphtheria-tetanus-polio (DTP), rubella- mumps-measles (MMR) in children, anti-tuberculosis, typhoid fever, viral hepatitis A and B, rabies. Make sure you are up to date with your usual vaccinations as well as those related to any geographic areas visited. Ask your doctor or an international vaccination center for advice.Travel to Cuba from the United States : The United States has changed the conditions for travel between the United States and Cuba. Travelers traveling to Cuba from the United States (including transit through an American airport) must comply with the new restrictive rules put in place by the United States and complete the form provided by the American authorities before being able to board.
