My ecothentic guide is a collection of travel guides focused on sustainable tourism. They are 3 in 1: travel guide, photo album, notebook.
They bring in a playful way all the useful information for a stay:
- Suggested itineraries and activities for everyone
- Recipes of local cuisine
- Pages dedicated to your memories
- An eco-responsible address book
The objective is to save time for the readers by giving them a range of information, suggestions and useful addresses for their stays and thus show that practicing a more sustainable tourism is neither restrictive nor expensive and possible everywhere.
The personalization pages allow them to turn their guide into a travel diary with their notes, photos, drawings and thus keep memories of their trip.
The address book professionals are selected on ecological and ethical criteria. If being labeled (ecolabel, green key, etc.) is not an absolute obligation, they must have an approach in terms of energy saving, waste sorting, use of hygiene products and materials (construction/renovation) that respect the environment. The structures are often small, which guarantees more human exchange, the use of fresh, local and/or organic products in the catering and local creation in the stores for example.
To date, there are 4 paper guides:
- Savoie Mont Blanc
- French-speaking Switzerland
- Languedoc
- Aquitaine
Digital guides are also available by sector, to be downloaded on smartphone or tablet for a weekend getaway, for example:
- Annecy
- Les Bauges, Aix-les-Bains et le lac du Bourget
- Lausanne, riviera et alpes vaudoises
- Genève
- Bordeaux
- Médoc et Bassin d’Arcachon
- Les Cévennes
- Montpellier
- Nîmes et pays gardois
My ecothentic guide wishes to enlarge the collection and to continue to publish new guides on other regions of France and close countries under the ecotourism angle.
We take this opportunity to thank My ecothentic guide for sharing with us the address of Concept Cote Ouest in Annecy and Aix les Bains.
